World's most expensive car ever sold- Ferrari 250 GTO ($48.4 million)

GTO- "Gran Turismo Omologata", in Italian language it means "Grand Touring Homologated."

Just 36 number of 250 GTOs were manufactured between 1962 and 1964.

Ferrari 250 GTO sold for $48.4 million at RM Sotheby's annual collector car sale in Monterey, California, a world record for any car ever sold at auction
